Dixie Keyes

Dixie found her first asana class in 2012 at the age of 46, read The Four Desires by Rod Stryker, and immediately began her journey with yoga. After completing the Parayoga Master Trainings, she found Eastern Livity and began to deepen her practice. In 2021, Dixie completed her 200-hour YTT Certification. Continued study empowered Dixie to find her own wellness, healing, and discernment to see life as a gift. She continues to find community and support at the Himalayan Institute and studies the wisdom traditions of yoga with the teachers there. Those who join in her classes are invited to breathe deeply, connect the mind to the body, find stillness, and seek the joy of inner awareness.

Dixie’s special interests involve leading yoga and writing workshops at Eastern Livity, connecting yoga to poetry, art, and nature. Her yoga classes aim toward steadiness, expansiveness, joy, and light. She offers an accessible and enjoyable asana practice balanced with breath, energy, and spaciousness. She also teaches the indepth meditation techniques of Vishoka Meditation©, a complete system of meditation to reclaim inner joy and guide the mind toward clarity and joy in all circumstances of life.

She has specialized training in yoga nidra from Parayoga, and has studied multiple levels of Vishoka Meditation© from the Himalayan Institute since 2021. She is a certified Vishoka Meditation teacher. You can read more here.
