Full Moon Events
Join us each month for a Full Moon gathering. We encourage everyone to take notice of the cycles of nature and this event is a chance for us to practice! Come to restore your energy and be in the community as we move through each Lunar cycle and Season. Generally, each event will include movement, pranayama (breath work) and meditation. You’ll learn more about the current full moon cycle and its related astrology. A healthy tea and treat will be served and we often host a special guest to bring their specialty such as drumming, sound bath, crystals, art, or massage. In the Fall and Spring, we gather around a bonfire for part of the evening, often throwing in papers we’ve written on forgiveness, gratitude and wishes.

Restorative Yoga
Join Alisa Spence as she shares what she’s been learning with long-time Restorative Yoga teacher and author, Judith Lasater. No prior experience or yoga knowledge necessary…just the willingness to relax and be supported!This class happens once a month or in a 6 week series format.
What is Restorative Yoga?
- A practice focused on deep relaxation in silence, using props to support the body in gentle, opening poses rather than stretches.
- Designed to encourage stillness and mental clarity while promoting physical healing and down-regulating the nervous system.
- Informed by yogic wisdom, physiology, brain science, and a deep understanding of the body’s stress response.
Who is Restorative Yoga for?
- Anyone seeking deep rest and relaxation, regardless of age, body type, or experience.
- Individuals experiencing burnout, overwhelm, or anxiety who need a grounding practice to reset and recharge.
- Students dealing with chronic pain, injury, or fatigue who need gentle, supportive techniques for healing.
What are the benefits of Restorative Yoga?
- Activates the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing stress and physical tension.
- Supports overall health, which may include reducing blood pressure, improving fertility, immunity, and digestive health.

This is the practice that will take you beyond thinking and doing and help you find peace, calm, stillness and relaxation. In this Restorative Yoga series, there are just a few postures – each fully supported by props with plenty of time for sinking in and settling a busy mind. Each participant will be asked to fill out an in-take form and the most beneficial postures will chosen based on the information submitted.
The series is limited to 8 participants and registration is required to secure your spot.

Crystal Connections
Courtney Shackelford is back for a deep dive into one of the beautiful gifts from the Earth, crystals! Throughout the year, look for one-time meetings like “Coffee & Crystals” or the four-week deep-dive series that allows for plenty of play, exploration, and conversation as Courtney teaches participants to cultivate a deeper understanding and connection to crystals. Create a grounded and practical relationship with crystals of all kinds and bring your favorite crystal to discover more of what it has to offer. Every class includes materials and information about crystals, meditation practices, journaling and other activities.

Syncing In
In order to cultivate inner awareness, there must first be an inner openness and an indwelling and familiarity with our own presence. Our lives tend to close us off into compartments, containers of role, personality, and belief. Many times, we don’t feel safe to show the truth of ourselves outside the safety of solitude. We become blocked from our own inner guidance, which in turn stunts our spiritual growth because of the fear that there will be social consequences to change. This is why personal/spiritual growth takes courage. One must first be willing to face the challenges of change. Change in purpose, belief, direction, place, and personality. Our small selves encounter transformation as a series of death experiences, one after the other. This isn’t easy, but it could be the very reason we walk the Earth. And what a shame it would be to miss the point altogether. To become caught up in the mundane, so much so that we never really learn what we’ve come here for.
Courtney will share tips and experiences gleaned from her own personal journey with self, nature, channeling, and dream work. The style of this course is conversational, so there will be many open questions and opportunities to contemplate, journal, and share openly. This series will provide a safe and supportive space to tap into imagination and learn the artful craft of intuitive living. It will help strengthen our subtle senses to use them in our day-to-day lives. It will include personal inquiry prompts to consider deeply and to practice sharing our ideas on the big questions. We will learn tools including mindfulness, heart and brain coherence techniques, muscle testing, medicine walking, and much more.
We will explore the ten techniques for cultivating intuition as written by world-renowned medium MaryAnn DiMarco, in her book, ‘Medium Mentor, 10 Powerful Techniques to Awaken Divine Guidance for Yourself and Others – (New copies available at the studio for $20.)
The purpose of this series is to move us beyond surface-level living and to open us to the expansive meaning that lies beyond, within, and through the happenings of our lives. Through discovering and practicing our intuition, expressing our uniqueness, and honoring our inner knowing through action, we can transform our lives into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece –reshaping it to look, feel, sound and move the way the soul intended.

Yoga and Writing with Dixie
Look for Dixie’s Yoga and Writing Series offered 1-2 times a year, in 6–8 week sessions. This is an excellent way to unleash the creative being within us all! Each session varies in topics but all use light yoga movement, breathing and meditation to access creativity through writing and art. Enjoy this unique opportunity to be guided by a Yoga teacher AND college Professor, to release expectation and gather together to create and share.
Examples of past series include:
“Self-discovery through the Poetic Arts and Meditation” – A six-week series to open pathways for ongoing self-discovery through creating either a concrete poem or a version of “blackout” poetry, (also known as “erasure” or “redacted” poetry), with the outcome being an image poetry journal that includes reflections on your writing and discoveries. Each session will include meditation techniques that include systematic relaxation, pranayama, and pranic awareness.
“Under the Moonlight: Lunar Creations, Movement, and Meditation” brings many evening delights your way, such as a nighttime scavenger hunt, animals of the moon writings, stargazing, herbal and lunar folklore, and firelight jars. Plus, meaningful movement, relaxation, meditation, and a community of friends.
“I Am: Finding the Joys of Journals Past” This series spotlights practices for finding steadiness and residing in joy. Through asana, meditation, and mantra focused on the Principles of Sthiram (steadiness) and Sukham (comfort/ease) from the Yoga Sutra, we will open spaces of easeful stability that carry forward into the world. Creative practices nested in exploring experiences from past journaling or life events make for a meaningful time with yogi friends. Using your past journals, social media posts or blogs, we will find joys from past events and memories and bring them into the present through remixes and reconstructions of writing, culminating in an engaging art piece.
